Contact the seller and ask if it's DOT approved.

Echo what @All Rice said. But for what it's worth, I have passed safety inspection (at a dealership) multiple times with my headlights, which are aftermarket projector headlights. It's a much larger difference from what you are currently running since 2nd Gen Tacomas come with halogen reflector headlights.

I bought similar headlights from Tacomabeast for my 2nd gen and although it said sae/dot approved I couldn’t pass safety cuz one of the side bulbs is blanked out on it. Just a heads up not sure if this will be the same situation

Recommendation is to always have your stocks as backup.

I thought the Morimoto XB LED headlights for the 3rd gen looked awesome and it states it is DOT approved, but the amber reflector on the sides are smoked so i didnt think it would pass safety even if it claims to be DOT approved.

On headlights, the only thing safety checks is to make sure they're operational. They're not checking if it's too bright/dark. That'll be the cop pullin you over ;) and keep in mind, you'll only get pulled over if it's way too damn bright/dark. You'd have to really search for those type of ricer lights. My Taco has the stock LEDs and they're brighttt

That’s one of the reasons why I never pulled the trigger on these. I am looking at the Alpha Rex Nova series though.

So glad Florida doesn’t give a shit about any of these gay details.

I do firmly believe in safety meetings, however.
