I mean not everyone needs it but some do, especially those holding excess fat or with high estrogen to begin with. Buddy of mine is stick skinny and a cyclist but even at 100mg test a week his E2 is crazy high. Gets little bitch tits if he doesn't take arimidex

That being said you’ll never get me on a statin. They are one of the worst drugs in existance and there is virtually no evidence to support they help prevent cardiac incidents in most people.

Were your numbers super out of control or just high?

In case you are interested Dr. Peter Attia has a podcast called the Drive. He had a lipidologist on his show for a 5 series podcast on blood lipids.

Now its science heavy, and you may have to set an alarm to go off every 5 minutes to wake you up or digest it in sections but its very good in discussing blood lipids and diet.

Dr. Tom Dayspring talks about his career, education, his personal struggle with hyperlipidemia and trying to treat that via diet and he goes into everything you do and don’t want to know about fats and blood lipids.

    https://peterattiamd.com/tomdayspring1/

he also has this podcast/interview which was helpful in understanding blood lipids

    I love his stuff.

My advice is to instead try a natural supplement if you really are that high on the cholesterol..niacin pills will help.

I got put on the statins when I was about 30 or so. Even on the statins my bad was about 250 or so when I was 40. Hence why I got motivated to lose the weight, plus being borderline for HBP and blood sugar too.

I went from having to be on 3-4 meds a day (some of which I never took, TBH) to taking nothing just by cutting the soda and exercising. I especially don't want to be on anything that works with my liver due to my history for drinking.

Even now as a smoker my blood pressure is perfect. Not bad for my age either

Yeah dude. Diet all the way. And by that I mean find out what to eat and what to avoid, etc. Not fad diets. I'd be wary of getting on meds too. There's a time for them but not just for anything.
