With all due respect, the solid axle hype is just that. Same with diesel hype, and “gotta have kings” hype.

people parrot the phrases that keep the trends growing.

I’ll take a Toyota IFS all day any day. Even for “oFf RoAdInG BrAh”

Solid axles for serious off-road. IFS for on-road or minor Offroad .

this is that parroting I was talking about.

It’s funny how many people think “serious off road” is articulating your way through some dipshit crevasse.

Few are 'authors' of knowledge on the internet.

Most are self perceived 'influencers' whose main skill is generating clicks.

Its just Jeep propaganda. I owned 4 different models over the years and love them, but I honestly think the Gladiators are built out of the shit they sweep up off the floor of the Wrangler assembly line. It was the worst built Jeep I have ever driven, actually I take that back, I drove once someone elses Patriot and that was a real P.O.S

These kids driving down a dirt road and talk like they placed in King of the Hammers or something hahahahahahaha

By the way, KoH Ultra4 builds can be found with both for a reason.

A fraction of one percent of people on here even needs to maybe consider a SAS for their Tacoma.

Heck, I don't think you should buy armor until you're consistently ripping something off and need to haha.

Nearly Eeeeeverything on here is for "looks" and "cred" with the boys.

Weird. The guy makes that weird IFS statement but then goes on about solid axles and how great Jeep is. Jeeps are kind of POSs, anyone who pays over 30k is getting ripped off

I went with armor after I lost my pie tin as I didn’t put a lot of height mods on it, and now I’m definitely less worried when driving on rock strewn trails. Besides, nobody can even see it’s there unless its up on a rack.

Seriously, IFS is nice and all after driving around lots of trucks that didn’t have it, but I wouldn’t say rear solid axles are outdated.

I was really hoping to hear him defend his statement. I’ll be the first to admit mine is a daily driver and that I don’t off road. I’m just here for the LOLz :goingcrazy:

It was fun slowing watching my jeep's front axle take on a nice smiley face shape.

You can have both. Your '19 would have easily funded a good 2nd gen and a Jeep.

I greatly enjoyed 3 vehicles with 2 drivers. Each had a purpose. Comfy CUV people hauler, small PU for super foul weather/HD and junkyard use, sports car for mountain carving and autox. All for a lot less than the cost of a new Tacoma. Including mods on the sports car.
