the handle is all @Anderson (is that not a thing..?) its def handy - so are the lights, which are not connected but are some kind of dust light, he actually just told me he found the manual for them.

The handles are actually all Vagabond Outdoors. It’s needed when you have a rear awning. With that awning mounted, it can be “difficult” too lift the hatch.

Wish I’d asked about that handle. When my rocketbox has stuff in it, it’s definitely more difficult to raise. Plus, when the sun has baked the top it would help (found that one out yesterday). Also wondered about the seal over time with my paws pressing into it and the abrasion when raising.
Anyone suggest a handle and source? Do y’all who have much more time with the drifter think it valuable to add one?
In Ga today. First road trip since returning from CA. So my wife has spent first night in the drifter. Not being an outdoor girl/camper we shall see how she fared once she has roused.

After installing my awning, I realized I couldn't open the camper easily from the outside. I planned on installing a handle but now I just open from inside the camper.

I didn't either at the time. I emailed Phil asking about a handle and he said they were going through the same issue at the time and he was the one that told me to just open from inside (obvious in hindsight).

Can you take a side profile picture of your 1-UP rack on that arm in the closed position? I'm trying to figure out what the distance/measurements looks like from the edge of the upright bikes to the hitch. I want to get one of those racks but I'm not sure it'll clear my swing out and spare tire on it without modification.

Congrats man . Good looking 3rd Gen you've got there.

The 1Up is actually fully adjustable since it locks in to the hitch with an expanding ball mechanism, so you can move it as far in/out in the hitch as you'd like. Here's a shot with the rack jammed all the way in to my swing out...

+1 for the 1Up... haven't used mine recently, but used it a whole bunch for three or four years and tens of thousands of miles with zero issues. High-quality stuff.

Yes! Finally spending quality time using the Drifter and getting out there. Love the wedge life! And my state. And my dog. Finally taught him on this trip that water isn't THAT scary and can be fun. :D
