Hello everyone, I am writing here from Switzerland because I am seriously considering buying a Toyota Tacoma. The reasons for this are simple, the big aftermarket. There is a lot of Ram 1500, Jeep's, Ford Ranger, Mercedes X and G class, Nissan Navara (Frontier) or the popular Toyota Land Cruiser. For those who are interested https://www.autoscout24.ch/de unfortunately no English.
Everyone has their right, but the full trucks here in Europe are simply too big, there are a lot of mountains with narrow streets, so you are just too fat with the ram. It's supposed to be a pickup, a roof tent with a 270 awning, 25 gallons of water, a battery box, everything should be packed on the loading area plus the rest like kitchen and camping equipment. A 300 watt solar panel and a RoadShower on the car roof.
Since the load is always there, I reckon up to 800 pounds the suspension would have to be adjusted accordingly. The Tacoma Pro would actually bring everything I imagine, the leaf springs would certainly have to be replaced, although I am not sure whether the Fox Shocks are designed for permanent loading.
What can you recommend me, should I take a Tacoma Offroad and retrofit the entire suspension with an adjustable suspension, such as from Fox, or maybe replace the Tacoma Pro and only the leaf springs. Thank you in advance.
