Hello all, I have tried my best to do my own research (including searching on this forum) and I am still over very overwhelmed.

My family and I are looking to invest in a travel trailer/toy hauler. We drive a Tacoma SR5 V6 4x2. I am looking for a trailer that will sleep at least 5 and load up at least 2 dirt bikes.

    My questions:
What is the best brand to look at when finding lightweight toy hauler trailers?
Anyone in the SoCal area selling their used hauler?

anything under 4000 lbs dry and you should be ok, but that will be hard with your 5 person occupancy requirement. i had a 3400 lb pacific coachworks sandsport 18ft that i towed with my 2nd gen for a few years, it was fine for what i used it for. loaded up it was about 6000lbs, i had a brake controller, and i would not wanted to go much heavier than that. i only towed it up and down i5 and never took it up over the mtn passes, so there is that. good luck.

Me thinks you’re going to be pushing it a little by the time you get a hauler that sleeps 5+ and is also carrying what, 600lbs of bikes?

I really haven’t looked at weights of toy haulers so I don’t know the usual.

In my opinion the best brand to look at would be a Tundra.
