I lost $80 once at a gas station, had a gold pen clipped to it.

In college, a friend of mine found a wallet on the sidewalk that had several hundred dollars in cash and all kinds of credit cards and IDs.
He wanted to keep it but I managed to talk him into contacting the guy who lost it so it could be returned. It was a lot of work talking him into it... I mean, he was a broke college student after all.

He contacted the guy and returned it, and the guy didn’t give him a reward or anything - he just said thanks and went on his way.

My friend was PISSED at me for a very long time.

Someone once came up to me and handed me an ID, said I dropped it. I looked at it, and it was a dude who looked exactly like me, same height, same weight, same fucking first name, and his last name was my middle name. I have it, in case I need to jump ship.
