    People don't give a flying fuck here. It's awful. No resources, expensive vet care, and HUGE stray and subsequent disease issues.

    I've got a litter and their momma in residence in the converted garage that I've no clue how to get out of here. No shelters are doing intakes, even in big cities that i can get to.

    I'm wondering if people here would take them, but it's a lot to ask and hard to vet them as good homes.

    It’s quite the opposite here in my area. The local vets will usually do spay/neuter on catch & release strays gratis.
    The only thing the cats have to be concerned about is not turning into a road pizza.
    Also, from what I’ve seen online, most shelters are nearly empty due to the uptick in pet adoption due to COVID.

    If you find me a shelter willing to do intake, I have a metric-ass ton of kittens in my colony and another that need good homes. I will get transport figured out if need be. The best thing for them is to get as far away from here as possible and into loving homes.

    He is goofy and expressive on top of having a great temperament and personality...it was extremely difficult to let him go back into the system. We received an email and picture from his new family who were waiting at the shelter’s doors to adopt him...he has a good home.
