This is my third Tacoma and I have all three Gen's. When its raining you can hear a dripping noise coming from my drivers door. I have taken it to two different dealerships and they say its normal. I have never heard of this before in any of the other two. I get that there is a piece of plastic covering the outer door and inner door and yes it runs out the drain hole at the bottom. Anybody else heard this. Thanks Rick

I have this too, door seal has been replaced for wind noise and I still have this "rain drip" noise.

It is normal, you're just not used to hearing it. The seals against the window are not, nor are they intended to be, water tight. (Into the door that is, not the cabin. That direction is water tight.)

Edit: there are little holes in the bottom, inner side of the door for this reason. Ever see cars with the lot rot black trail down the rocker molding? That's from the door drains. BMWs are horrible for it, as an example.
