Why did it break? Did you over torque it? Or did the threads bind up when you were tightening it?

If it broke by over torquing, you've got a very good chance of getting it out by working at it with a small chisel. Work around the perimeter trying to work in out. The threads will most likely be pretty free.

If the threads bound up while you were tightening it, then that's a bigger problem and you will have to be more drastic. If you have a TIG welder, you can try to tack a nut on it. If not, then drill and use an easy out. Try to get the drilled hole as centered as possible. The also sell left handed drills for removing screws and sometimes they will back out when you drill them.

    Good luck,
    Ted

Added a soft topper to the long bed. Time to start building a sleeping platform in the back!

Could you install those "reversed" so the side with the extra tie-downs is closest to the tailgate? @victory4x4 ?

Curious. Did you use a cordless drill/driver to remove the screws?

EZ OUT as suggested my another member. Some type of penetrating oil.
Screw has probably oxidized from moisture getting to the threads.

    Follow up...

Installed ICON AAL last Saturday. Everyone has issues with the rear brake line clamp. A little crafting (drill & tap) and problem solved.
