What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Camera icon on the button lights up when the truck is on, regardless of the lights. Does not dim with the dash lights.

 

Upgraded the fogs to some KC Hilites. Happy with the colours on and off as I didn't want a yellow/amber lens when off. Now to wash all those bugs off

 

Ok, that means the Blue/ Grey wire is not connected to the instrument illumination circuit. I think I will tap into the ECT button to have the light dimmable.

Mounted my CaliRaised light bar. Thanks to @ilubtimmyhos and some threads here I got the wiring figured out. Only powers up when headlights are on and the bottom and top lights in the switch work independently of each other. So bottom on with headlights and top on when activated and light bar is on.

 

Which wires connect to what for that? Instructions said those wires were not used.

It is ok, I have a 2020 now!

Seriously, I did sell my 2009 and am shocked at what I got for it, not that there were any issues with it, but that the value was so high for an 11 year old vehicle... I am happy, they will be able to sell it and make a profit, and maybe some non-tacoma owner will join the cult.

Now, I have money for mods.

 

Not your typical mod , but there are times when the short bed does not get it
done . Its a pretty quick set up with slide in sides and back for access .
Bottom horizontal hitch rail has 2 choices for the pin , giving a 9' or 9.8 "bed .
With the full size spare removed more option are possible .
Storage of a trailer was not an option .

 

It’s serves no real purpose other than taking a smaller box for shipping.

Demon brackets

 

Finally finished and installed my homemade C02 tire inflation setup. Pretty stoked with how it turned out. Should give me roughly around 20 fills at around 15 psi each for all 4 of my 285/70/17 tires until I need a refill.

 

The real question is: Why wouldn’t you?!

 

Installed my rack.

 

Threw some 5” black iStep running boards on the truck tonight. Like the lower profile and they should be helpful for my older dog climbing into the truck.

 

Rotated tires, replaced coolant, ordered a new front diff drain plug to replace the one I'm gonna ruin tomorrow.

 

Started fabbing up a rod holder that's attached to the bed rail system. It's a work in progress and not tightened up so don't judge. Still need to trim the excess and paint it as well



Also got my starter button and trim installed today.
