So I disconnected my battery and when I reconnected it my stereo started having issues.
Every time I start the car it’ll say “New software is not compatible with system”
Now when using the interface it runs terribly and has a major lag to it. Some touchscreen buttons don’t even work, such as the bass/treble adjustments. Also there is no clock display anymore.
I’m trying to figure out how to get it back to before when it was running perfectly fine.
I downloaded the entune 2.0 app however I have trouble creating a login it says my VIN number is incorrect.
Has anyone had this issue before??

Entune 2.0 app doesn't work with that head unit I don't believe. Try the regular entune app

Do you have any USB devices plugged into the unit? It looks like it's finding something on a jump drive that it considers a software
update, and is trying to load it.

Nothing plugged in, it was really just disconnecting battery that did this.
I’ve also tried uploading new update downloaded from Toyota with the usb but it doesn’t pick anything up from the drive.

It certainly couldn't hurt to disconnect the battery again for a few minutes, or pull the fuse to the HU. Then see if any change when power is connected once again.

I think the USB drive has to be formatted FAT32, and the update files in the root directory with nothing else on the drive.

I also have that “driver easy speak” feature now. Seems like some corrupt file was forced updated when I rebooted.

Called Toyota customer service 06/11/2020 - they were worthless, kind of disappointed. Told them this is not just one vehicle, this problem is all over the internet. I've found that that Tundra forum members are having same exact issue nationwide.

I find this so frustrating that I'm considering an after market option at this point. If anyone has an option as to which one let me know...especially if it allows connection to original microphone for phone. Really the only upgrading I was going to do was the speakers, I usually listen to talk radio more often than music. Streaming from my iphone.

I have the same issue, but it is happening when trying to upload a new FW version. A few revs past the one posted on the Download site.

Offline, there was a recommendation to wipe the user data from the headunit, disconnect the battery for 30min, and go from there. I also did the wizard level trick: disco'ed both terminals and touched them together for 10sec or so for insurance.

Unfortunately, I still got the same error trying the FW update, and interestingly, I got an OTA update as soon as I reconnected my phone. I could not find anything that changed with the OTA.

Note that the offline info said that if the FW update doesn't take, the HU should be replaced. Also note that in this situation, you most likely will not get a new HU. It will be refurbished.

The reason that I want the FW update is that either due to 13TDANNA-DA11_0158.kwi or an OTA after that, I no longer have current song info on the HU or Center Display.

The Download site still only has 13TDANNA-DA11_0146.kwi.

The best thing might be to wait a bit and see if another FW is out there. I and another person cannot get 13TDANNA-DA11_0160.kwi per TSB-0003-20 to load.

Good luck. Don't expect too much.

Remember the data wipe first. It is funny how much was setup in there and reset.

My headunit is stating that software is incompatible - my phone links up without issue. My head unit is slow with inoperative buttons, with serious delays (if not completely inoperative) buttons. The onboard navigation is completely worthless now...
