Thanks to @ExploreBackcountry for sharing the wealth! Awesome member sent me this perfect tool. Previously my pins were all left unlocked, because they are way too stiff to turn by hand.

I think I saw a video where KC makes a wire cover that runs down next to the windshield seal and covers your wires. Might be another option.

Ya. I zip tied mine on the top but now Im thinking i could have just just used small strips of 3m tape on the wire harness coming down. It's not noticeable when driving. The zip tie kinda stretches the rubber that's there and I don't like that. But i think just some 3m tape applied to the glass and just stick the wire harness on to it will work.

I’m probably going to end up putting some cable management stick-ons on the rack to retain the wire. Also, I’ve replaced the drip rail inserts with what came with my rack and have considered drilling a hole through them (2 actually) and coming out the drip cover a little farther back.

Just got done installing my bravo setup. The rack is great. Can’t wait to get the roller bar for the kayak and take it out this weekend. The handles are another story. The tie video is great for the paracord but the wire keeps splitting anytime I’m trying to get it in the crimp locks. Have already gone through 3 wires trying to clip when it frays. The locks just can’t seem to get both wires in. Love the rack though9E63B7E6-69BA-418B-925A-DD1D154CD498.jpg1E5D171C-2256-40B5-9D57-8FA7E8CEE918.jpg

I have a question. I am wanting an UpTop Truss Retrax bed rack to go with the RetraxOne XR but I am planning on buy the bed rack first. Can the Truss Retrax bed rack be mounted to the bed without having the tonneau cover installed. Thanks

When mounting a roof rack, what type of sealant is preferred?

Really any silicone will do. make sure to get it around the spacer and some in the threads to seal everything up
