I have an ‘06 2WD DCSB that is pretty stock. I currently have 265/70/17 tires on my truck and I’m looking to get 285/70/17.

Will these tires be too big for my stock suspension? Will it rub when I turn the wheel all the way in each direction? How much will it affect my mpg?

    Like, so many.
Yeah man, you're gonna need to do some work to fit those. Alternatively, you can look for "pizza cutters." They are a popular option for people looking for taller tires. There's a huge thread on it. "The skinny on skinnies" or something like that.

If you have stock wheels 285s will rub your UCA unless you get spacers. 255/85 may work for you.

If they're not rubbing, you need to go bigger.

(I stole that from another TW member.)
