So... some dude in a white Honda Civic just dropped it off....

Said that UPS is hiring third party drivers... and paying them cash.....

I called My local UPS store... and they said that’s basically bullshit.

    So strange..

edit: guy was in plain clothes

I worked for my local The UPS Store for 8 years. They are not UPS. They are privately owned franchises. That being said, it could be possible that UPS is hiring 3rd party drivers. They hire seasonal people during the holidays as Driver Helpers.

If you call 1800-742-5877 (1800 PICK UPS - the number for UPS) and go through the menus, you might be able to get a better answer.

Sounds sketchy. The Amazon drivers are usually in plain clothes in their personal cars though. They have the ones that drive the fleet vehicles but they usually have a uniform, but I've definitely had some Amazon deliveries in some regular old beat to shit car and a guy in regular clothes deliver my stuff

So I spent 4 hours attempting this two brothers exhaust.

Didn’t have the right tools. Which ended up with three trips to autozone. Wrong sizes twice. The entire process is a monster of a challenge.

called it a night after struggling with the engine gaskets. This is probably the most difficult thing I’ve yet to do...

lol for sure will never be doing this again, and next exhaust change will be done by a shop. .

    round 2 tomorrow

i can’t seem to do it.
I’m trying to freeze them now. And try it again tomorrow.

I’m pretty frustrated. So I know I’ve hit my limits.

Edit: also pretty sure I left the old gaskets in... fucking A dude . Hahaha. Maybe that’s why it was a struggle

It's how we learn! :ballchain: And probably part of the draw to wrenching on our own vehicles/bikes. But I do have my limits! :D

Exhaust gaskets are a PITA, especially the little copper donut ones. On my cb750 I used a tiny bit of grease to hold them in place while I lined up the exhaust with both hands and a foot, it was the only way I could get all 4 in at once. Grease just burned off when it got up to temp no harm no foul.

    Goooooood luck

Use a pick to get the old ones out. Dont rush, and try not to damage the part that they sit in.

I dont think freezing them will do anything. They are metal weave, so its just going to get cold.

I’ll update you tomorrow. It has to get done tomorrow because my bike is my daily....

Confident that I’ll knock it out. Once the gaskets go in... it’s just lining up the pipes. Installing the 02 sensors and tightening everything down.
