I think about it but what you gain from a camper shell you can't get back from a naked truck. With kids, dogs and hurricane evacuations yearly we use the camper shell like crazy.

Love mine! Color matched and cost me $450. Even if I take it off, I'll store it somewhere in the garage, maybe hoisted to the ceiling bc I know i'd want it back on again at some point.20200601_170623_HDR.jpg

I wish I owned this truck when I lived in CO. I miss snow, and skiing:( GA is certainly not as much fun, but lots of friends and family here so its a trade off....But skiing is more fun than inlaws haha. And modified or not, your truck seems like its getting the job done for where you need to go.

Nice truck and a lucky dude that you girl wants to do all that with you.

Check out these straps for tying off the tips of your boards, spare the front of your grill from any highway speed line damage. they have a grommet and bolt to the fender wall in the bay. When not in use they hang harmlessly in the bay. Best $7.00 you'll spend if you carry often.

Yeah my last vehicle was a civic! I made it work with snow tires but the truck has been awesome for when there's more than 5" of snow on the roads. The civic would turn into a snow plow and lift the front wheels - no Bueno. Plus I do a lot less hiking on 4x4 roads in the summer. No plans for serious mods anytime soon until I wear out the highway tires on it now. From what I've seen on youtube though I think Georgia and the states nearby has some pretty epic mountain biking. The trails local to me are packed and blown out. Plus I have to fly to see family which kind of sucks.

Yeah mtn biking is pretty great around here. And the hiking isn't bad either. Just hard to compare it after you've hiked and camped in the real mountains. I was able to sell my stock wheels and tires for $500, which i felt was a pretty good deal.
Yeah flying to see family sucks but I'd rather have to fly to see family twice a year and get to drive to ski every weekend during the season haha.
I guess I was spoiled when I was in CO, b/c I was able to still work in GA and flew back to GA once a month for free so I was able to see friends and family for the week I was in GA, then back to CO to work from home and live the life. That was a pretty sweet gig.

Who knows if we'll have a ski season this year, I bought the Ikon but not sure what will happen. I picked up a set of stock rims for $100 for snow tires so at least I'll be able to get wherever I want!

I have a couch with your name on it in Lakewood if you ever want to fly out to ski

I just may take you up on that! I was in Lakewood often. I used to live in In Englewood for a little, then rented a house up in Evergreen for a couple years. Hopefully things will return to somewhat normal and the mountains will open. If they do, I just might be coming out for a visit!

I noobed out and made a thread meant to post this in here.

Added the KMC bronze and Wildpeaks yesterday. Installing ditch lights and new headlights this weekend. Might even paint the skid plate black.
