Anyone painted a 2020 OR grill black?

I think the TRD pro grill is a bit over done and this is a good looking alternative. I think the SR grille with the black trim not the chrome of the SR5 looks nice too.

Agreed. It’s been the same since 2016 and most people are in a rush to swap to it. I think it looks fine but I think a black 2020 grill looks nice and a bit more modern.

I'm not a "matchy matchy" type person, but some of the color choices on Tacoma's are just weird. My 2017 SR5 had 4 different shades of grey in the interior. ???
Somehow I picture the guy in charge of the color palette as someone who shows up to work everyday in a blue suit with brown shoes and a green tie.

When I first saw the 2020's it was swwet to see the dark grille surround and what looked to be a black grille. When I finally saw ine in person and notice the grille was a graphite color, who makes these types of decisions? Most of the items on the outside of the truck ar black if they are not painted. Why not just go black?

Yeah, i dont get it either. I thought it was black too, but then i saw it and went wtf? Prolly same guy that thought chrome grille and chrome surround would look great on a small pick up.

I’ve been thinking about painting my 2020 MGM as well. The grill matches the paint almost exactly. Smh... they should have put a black grill on the MGM just like they put the all silver sticker on the side. I think the Plasidip will take away from the sharp lines of the grill. I’ve been thinking about asking an old buddy of mine who owns a body shop to see what it would cost to paint it. I’ve also been looking at this Rustoleum matte paint. It’s oil based so it may adhere better.
