Agreed. It's the wheels that I don't like mainly. There's definitely no going back on that build

I saw an 87 built up like this. Guy wanted four grand for it. I told him it was worth a thousand because I'd have to cut all that crap out from underneath it. He told me to get lost only in prettier words.

It's funny when people think mods will raise the value of the vehicle substantially when it really doesnt

My favorite was trying to buy a D21 Nissan, listed at $2700, had a quarter million on the OD. I offered him $1200, which was a stretch, and he called me all kinds of names and said he'd rather scrap it for $200 than "lose money".

    Freaking looney bin

There’s always a guy that thinks his old thing is vintage and worth a fortune but in reality it’s worth about $3

its taken me almost 10 years now to get a liking for your style of taco, the single cabs are best for the most part (other than interior hard to keep clean surfaces!), plenty of cab room compared to 1st gen single cabs
but i am not sure if i could ever get used to the elongated hood compared to my little slick, ball-busting truck right on top of the road surface lol

this is from a bit north of Atchison & Leavenworth about a month ago

They all have the same hood lengths. Also, third gens don't come with single cabs.

Powertrain can probably make 400k, frame not so much. Also with 400k on the clock, it is worth $3.

its a taco wonder its made it this far from some of the rotted crap I've seen in the local salvage lots that slipped through the cracks and for sale on used lots whenever they pop up!

I mean, that just establishes it's worth more than stuff at a junkyard...

The worth of old toyota pickups is 100% subjective at this point, the only reason they sell for what they do is because buyers give them that worth by buying them at that price. Whether anyone thinks it's wrong or not, that's what the price all boils down to in the end.

    i know! who knows!?
its a mystery but there are valuation tables out there that insurance companies use for determination (i think)?
however, not quite sure which one(s) they use!
do you know anything about that?
