Is the Off Road package worth the extra money if you are a medium ability 4-wheeler. No rock climbing. Does the locking rear diff work in 2Hi, 4Hi, 4Lo? The Nissan Frontier locker only works in 4Lo, though it can be wired to work in other modes. Been told it is not a great locker.
How is the one in the Tacoma? Same Spicer unit as in the Frontier? Stronger, more dependable?
Is the upgraded suspension all it's cracked up to be?

Define 'worth' i suppose. My mom bought a truck to haul her trailer. She told me time and again "we don't need four wheel drive!" - Correct! You don't need it until you need it. I think of a locker kind of like that. But the locker works only in 4Lo without special cutting/adding/fixing.

    i have a 2015 TRD Off Road 4x4.

is the suspenison better? maybe but not by much. i want to upgrade mines as soon as i can.
does the rear locker work in 2wd, 4hi, 4lo? it only works in 4lo.
is the rear locker worth it? for me, yes. i was going through some uneven ditches where one front wheel was in the air and one rear tire was in the air. i wasnt going anywhere. turn on the locker and just crawl out of the hole. plus it would also give you traction in the mud or snow.
