How many of you traded in/sold your Tacoma only to end up back in one?

If so what did you trade/sell for and what made you get back into another one?

I have to be honest that I kind of despised the truck in the beginning, but after a few mods, a few hunting trips and housing projects I have to say that I think I’m in love with it.

I still wish I had a sports car some days, and wish I could roll coal on some of these protestors occasionally :anonymous: but the grass is always greener I think

That’s the route I’ve wanted to go for awhile. Wonder what made him switch back

You cant drive a sports car like its meant to every day. The truck is more comfortable and has better presence in traffic.

good point, I wouldn’t want to drive my motorcycle everyday so that’s understandable.

What made you go back to Tacoma? Was it like, I really just want a Tacoma again? Or I just don’t care for the 4runner?

I traded my 2017 TRD OR for a 2019 Tundra TRD Sport. Had it for 6 months and traded for a 2020 Tacoma TRD Sport. Tundra was too big to be a good daily driver. I didn’t need the space or the capability. It was sort of an impulse buy. Always wanted to try a Tundra so I jumped when I had the chance. I ended up regretting that move, but fortunately Tundras hold their value pretty well, so I was able to grab a 2020 Tacoma without taking a massive hit.

Had a 2003 ACLB sold it & bought a 97 Toyota Previa AWD minivan. Had just gotten laid off during the housing market collapse & didn’t need the truck payment. Paid $3k for the Previa & it ran like a champ for 10+ years. Always missed the Tacoma & got another after the van ran its course

I've owned two Tacomas over the last 24 years and still have both.
Sportscars, are fun, but I drive my Tacomas much more than my C7.

You just need to buy 1 of each. The black smoke is fun once in a while too . Ps the 72 is a toyota red paint haha. I did sell a 02 tacoma to get the dodge but as soon as I got a job that I could afford to I bought the silver tacoma in the back for my hunting truck.

Sold my 2004 Tacoma 2 weeks before buying my 2020

2004 Tacoma was a single cab with 100k original miles
Kept everything pretty much stock except for the wheels and head unit

    Sold it for 5k

    Used that 5k as a down payment on my 2020 SR5 4cyl

Always had toyota mini trucks since the mid 70's before owning a 78 wolverine conversion that started it all. Had small 4wd toyota pickups till 01....no tacos though. Bought the 01 tundra, and another crashed 06 one. This my first tacoma...so far so good.

Traded my 2011 SR5 for 2020 OR. Never a thought of going with anything other than a new Tacoma. Reliability was bottom line for me.

Had a 2000 Prerunner TRD Tacoma i bought used in 2005, drove it 5 years with never and issue, and then sold it for the same amount i bought it for. Tried doing that with an F150, but kept it 8 years, sold for half what i bought it for. I had more trouble, and put more money into maintenance and upgrades into F150.

I enjoyed the F150, but I never stopped thinking about that Tacoma.

Sorry to hijack this thread for a minute, but @Tacoma04CA Holy cow... looks like you guys are parking next to a pool... Has anyone gone into the pool with their car over the years? Seems it would be too easy to do... lol...
