2014 DCSB 4x4 with 50K on the clock. Just installed 887's with Bilstiens and a small block in the back. Still driving on the stock TSS 17's currently.

1 Hour long highway drive. Afterward when under normal acceleration from leaving a light there is what appears be feel like a bit of torque converter shudder toward the end of first gear and again in second.

Doesn't really seem to be there under heavier acceleration, when the truck is cold, or just when driving around doing errands. Only after longer periods of highway speeds.

Carrier bearings? Normal? Any other ideas?

Just want to be sure all is good before I instal my 285/75/16's and put more strain on the transmission.

    Thanks!

6inch lift sitting on bilstein coilovers. Lexus is300 studs in front to keep stock wheels, general grabber red letters, nfab front bumper.
It should feel like your running over a rumble strip.

Sounds more like a driveline vibe to me. Mine has a driveline vibe in the top of 1st and bottom of 2nd similar to what you describe, and is less noticeable under hard acceleration as the duration is much shorter.

It's probably the carrier bearing, caused by the lift.

When it's doing it (meaning it's repeatable) come to a stop and put the truck in 4WD. If it goes away (or is significantly reduced) then it's likely your carrier bearing on it's way out. Either that or you have axle wrap that's a contributing factor too. The reason this test works is because it splits the torque between the front and rear wheels so you're only putting half the torque through the rear drive shaft. If the vibration remains the same it's likely something with the torque converter or the transmission itself.

My taco was doing same thing. More likely torque convertor. My fix was changing Trans fluid with flush. This service also removes fluid in torque convertor as well. Cost around 250. I wouldtry this first

Mine does it at the top of third (I think) from 25-30 and only under normal load. Light load no vibration, hard acceleration no vibration. It is a pretty server vibration not just a little drive line vibe. I should add I have a one piece driveshaft that is set to the proper angles so thats not the cause. Also have Dakars in the rear no block so I don't think its axle wrap. I suspected it might be a transmission issue but I'm new to automatic transmissions. Anyone want to give their opinion on my issue too?

I just posted a thread in the 3rd gen forum, but this actually sounds similar to what I'm experiencing.

Mine for SURE feels like you are driving over a rumble strip.

Did you get this resolved? Did a tranny flush solve anything?

I’m in this boat . Under very light acceleration I get a vibration . It wasn’t there after 60k miles of lift but has presented itself lately.
