My 2017 Tacoma TRD OR Blazing Blue is sitting at 90,000 miles, I bought it new in October 2016 with less than 100 miles.

Here are some of the maintenances that I have done so far: replaced the fluids for the front, rear differential, transfer case at 80k mile. Recently I replaced the original battery with Duracell from Sam’s club even though the original is still ok but I did anyway for the peace of mind. I am on the second set of tires, the replacement was the same ones that come from Toyota Good Year Wrangler and they have been served me well with my usage. Other than these maintenances, there are oil changes and air filters, I normally do the oil changes at between 5k and 10k miles interval. I also have the alignment done after the replacement of the original tires. There are several items on my list to do soon before the Taco gets to 100K: flush and replace transmission fluid, brakes (still ok), replace brake and steering fluids.

BTW the fluids on my differentials and transfer case didn’t show any sign of wear or shaving when I replaced them at 80K and I replaced them by myself and it was an easy task.

I am an avid outdoorsman that like fishing and hunting so I drove this truck all over my state and the neighbor states to get to my destinations and there are some moderate trails within them and nothing too serious, this truck haven’t let me down yet and knock on woods. The truck seems to drive better as it ages, may be I just got it broken in at 90K, lol.

Please share some of your experiences with your high mileage 3rd gen Tacoma that has 90K miles or higher. Thanks for reading!
