Original price on our website right now for an aftermarket one is: $1,397, basically $1,400.

By mid-July, depending on how many people are interested, then I can negotiate the discounts with my vendors. And then we will release the discount code specifically for Tacoma World in August and it will be active for 24 hours. If you haven't emailed sales@revemoto yet, please do so we can put you down during the email blast.
And prices given will include shipping to the 48 states in the continental US. If you're in Hawaii, Alaska, or Canada, there will be additional freight costs calculated directly on the website.

Im curious for anyone whos already done this or had a different hood installed what is your dealership or local shop charging you to remove old and install new hood?

 

A body shop charged me $40, but I offer my old hood to him as payment instead. The guy did it in the parking lot. Probably took like 10 minutes, it even aligned perfectly too. Although he couldn’t get the windshield sprayer hose holder out without the risk of breaking them.

We got 15 people interested so far! Trying to get at least 5 more!

Just wanted to release some details real quick.
I'm anticipating the savings would be at least 15% of of the list price.
I'm working with vendors now on some costs since every 6-12 months they increase their price, we need to do the same to keep up with costs.
So hopefully the hood's current bundle price won't change too much, but with the bulk ordering, it will definitely help lower some costs for everyone.

I'm trying to get a bulk order of CAPA Certified hoods. (Basically, only one step down from OEM, so the cost will reflect that as well.)
The first set of orders were just regular NON-CAPA certified part hence the price was easier to work with, but I remember someone saying there was a slightly larger gap than they were expecting, but overall still fine. However, to avoid that minor issue, we're going to proceed with the Certified route.

Since we're understaffed and our warehouses are full, we're anticipating to catch up around August. So then I can release the details on how to get a discount code.

Can you guys not get oem hoods? They’re like 300 bucks? Plus the other parts should be 5ish per hood.

 

The shop that painted my hood charged me about $60 to install the hood (swap over parts, etc).

 

The OEM one list at: $552.55 - I'm not sure where you're getting $300, but I wish we got it for that much. And then the hood scoops plus the hardware list is almost $250.
So basically $800 list, most shops get 15%-20% off list price and this would still put us at about $640.00 per a hood and the scoop before painting/shipping.
Sometimes if the local dealership has a special going on and you're picking it up, then I could see you getting this hood for $300 and then painting it locally.
Which of course, is the best scenario for some people. But when shipping is involved, things are a little different.

(I've seen quotes as high as $2,000 for this hood, scoop, painted and installed. If you check the thread, some of the guys/girls shared their quotes for fun. )

Thanks for hanging in tight while you wait for updates.
I'm currently at 17 people interested in this group buy.

However, I have some slightly bad news. Our vendors are raising prices on their "steel"/metal parts in general so this could really put a damper on pricing.
We have to update our pricing accordingly as well in the next couple of weeks.

Before any discounts, this is the current pricing that will shortly be reflected on the website:

OEM is super pricey at: $1,660.00
CAPA Certified: $1,500.00
Regular Aftermarket: $1,440.00

I'm hoping to bring the regular aftermarket down to around $1,150-$1,225.00, which is about 15%-20% discount. (For the record, the biggest discount we ever give on a regular sale is 10%. )
I'll send out emails individually as well when things are finalized, but just wanted to post it here for anyone else that hasn't signed up due to pricing so that now you have an idea. Thanks!

I'm currently looking into how long it will take to get these hoods shipped to us in bulk so I can make sure I offer the best price for you.
But this is looking to be an either Black Friday Gift or Christmas gift to yourselves since transit time from order is about 2 months.
We're doing a little more advertising to get more people on board so I'm hoping by August, I can release more details.

I know this is late but I just got my hood from revemoto and shipped to hawaii. Anyone had issues with them not painting the entire under side of the hood? They completely missed all the seems by the brace bars and told me that's how hoods are painted...

 

That's not good.
May be no more scooped hood for me then.
