I'm getting started recording some guitar and bass tracks. I was wondering if the were any drummers on TW that could record some drum tracks.

Probably mostly doing jazz standards. (I can hear the sound of people leaving the thread at this point.)

This will basically just be exchanging sound files via email.

Nothin' wrong with jazz standards. If it were trombone, I might be able to help.

    Yes, indeed Jay!
I assume you want acoustic drums & real cymbals, not drum machine "tracks"?

I just recorded guitar and bass parts to a 'Cissy Stut' backing track. Funk, not jazz.

Why don't you send me a copy of what you have. I'll see what I can do. I'm not sure I even have the correct technology though, but this might motivate me to set my kit up and try to record.
The Roland electronics I have aren't any good for jazz. They have zero dynamics and sound like trash.

I just downloaded Cakewalk and ordered a digital audio interface. I will hopefully be able to use it in a few days, if I can figure it out.
I have a mixer and some good mics, so I can probably get a decent recording of my kit when I find a spot to set them up.

I will experiment with acoustic and electric guitar first, then electronic drums, then acoustic drums.
    Wish me luck...
