If you ever been in the military or have actually used 550 cord you know after two months of 550 cord holding down your VS-17 panel or litter to your rig it fades and turns into a gritty material.

not sure how long these will hold up with sun/water.

maybe make it out of something else?

Why not a regular door handle lol? Has two screws where you can throw some washers on the back...maybe durp it a matte black, tactical color?

Come to think about it, not a bad idea? It’s aluminum so should hold up better to the elements lol

Agree with the material disintegrating over time. It'll be much easier to simply put on a pair of gloves or use the hand that has more callouses.:anonymous:

Paracord is great when it new but it’s not good for longevity and repeated use. Although grab handles are not used that much (especially if you don’t go off-road) so it’ll prob hold up ok.

So far mine have been holding up pretty well. no sign of fading or deteriorating on the paracords, nor rust on the bolts and screws

Besides actually saying the same thing to a friend of mine about the cabinet hardware, I found these but the price!

You could get two sets of a paracord versions and a 30 pack.

I've been looking for something that swings out. Similar to the uptop overland grab handles, but I don't want to spend $120 on 4 handles...Might stop by Home Depot to see what they have.

I made my own. I bought the cheaper roll bar handles and removed the part that goes around the roll bar and used a soldering iron to melt holes into the handle part, and then added some larger washers to the existing cross member bolts. They might not be as cool as other types but for now they will definitely work and were cheap as hell.

EDIT!!! These lasted about 5 months in the elements, became dry rot, and eventually just tore off. I do not recommend this mod.

The problem with any fixed length handle is that you might have to drill a hole or holes. I guess that's ok, just not something I wanted to do.
