New member, new to tacos! Desert guy!

Hey guys,
Just picked up a 2020 offroad 4x4! Living in Las Vegas I have so many trails, places and offroad adventures ahead!! Only one week in and already put 500 miles (mostly dirt) on my taco. In a perfect world my truck would look something like fab fours sloth!! No joke I would copy it down to the floor mats. Unless I hit the lottery I'm gonna have to build it on a normal guys budget. First things first I ordered a compete rebadging kit to black it out. Is the trd bro to much?? Overnight fan of tacoma's. What is your first mod on your truck?

I did the OEM overlays on the chrome. But the "TRD Bro" one is a little cringe for me.

I was thinking the same thing. But it looks badass! Most people assume its a pro now. Kinda a joke but the reactions are hilarious. Can't wait to get the pro's grill and lights.

 

i got an OEM pro grille (plus OEM parts: harness & sensor cover) before Toyota jacked the price up and had no issues. Not sure if the price has come back down.

check out Parts Factory Camelback Toyota out of AZ. Their parts dept had great prices on TRD parts and one of the parts guys is on here too.

 

Welcome from SE VA! hmmm first mod i did.....well it was done for me. 2 bullet holes by some reckless AR shooters while i was parked on a wildlife management area....once i got it back from the $11,286 repair.....my mods were a suspension lift and ditched them stock tires for 275/70R17s BFGs and sliders. i think ditching them tires is the most common first mod! lol....anyway, Nice truck! enjoy the journey!

 

Since you are in the middle of the Mojave desert you should consider WeatherTech full vehicle sun shades (fits all windows). Next on the list would be tires, next suspension and protection (sliders first, then skid plates). The good thing is you can do this in increments as you budget allows. Sounds like you all ready having fun and using your truck the way it was intended. Welcome to TW and congrats on the truck (you have one of my favorite colors!).

 

Welcome to TW! 1st mod was a bed mat then new wheels & tires. Like @apreston1 said, the Weathertech sun shades are really nice. Perfect fit on my windshield shade!
