In that case take your calibrated micrometer and measure both devices see the difference

Take tape measures two different brands each measure the same part get two different numbers .

The thing with feeler gauges is having the correct feel kinda like adjusting rear brakes just the correct amount of drag .

Does all feeler gauge have the sames sizes? The most common sizes or does it all varies?

One spark plug the gap is .028 to .030. The feeler gauge you linked to doesn't have these measurements.

 

I don't have a micrometer.

Is thee a feelers gauge set known for accuracy without spending a lot money?

I'm going to check the Craftsman gauge set sizes to see if all the size I need is there. I don't want to buy multiple gauges to check spark plugs gap.

 

You typically add blades to get the gap you need. That set goes up to 1mm.

So if your set only goes to .024, and you need to gap .03, add a .024 and a .006.

 

Math.

I heard those were pretty much garbage. I think you made the right call getting rid of it.

I miss my 22RE valve adjustments. Sorta.

Would it be better to using 2 feeler gauge set instead of to 1 set apart?

 

I miss that about as much as I miss fiddling with the throttle position sensor on those engines. Actually, I miss my old runner with the 22RE. It was a fun engine to work on.

 

Stacking gauges has been done forever with no issues. You’re good.

No you don’t have to take it apart. Those things flex enough to where you can put several together to get the thickness you need. Feeler gauges are what mechanics use.

 

for plugs the gapper is much easier to use.

 

I don't know if you guys have seen this, but its amazing. Shop of the century. lol It's a wood shop BTW.
