Any of you frequent Northwest OHV Park in Bridgeport?

I'm thinking about checking it out soon. I'm not planning on any serious wheeling. Maybe some easy trails and hopefully a mud hole or two. My daughter has a Jeep that she has been wanting to get dirty. I want to check out Northwest OHV on my own before taking her there.

For those who have been, is it any good? Any advice? Certainly don't want to get into any trouble.

I’ll preface my input by saying this, it’s been a few years since we went. We had a basically stock TJ that did fantastic there. No carnage. So, you should have no problem finding space to get dirty and not break anything. From other posts I’ve seen and feedback from others, there’s plenty there to challenge you as well. So, overall, I think it’s worth the trip.

    Awesome, thanks!

I'm looking up there fees. According to their site, one is for $4 not to be driven off road. The other is $25 for Jeeps/SUVs.

By "off road" do they mean that you have to park it and not drive in the park? Or can you drive the trails? Or should I get the $25 pass?

They aren't selling the passes at the gate, you have to purchase online, so I want to make sure I get the right one before I show up.

It's a real fun park. Not very difficult imo. Barnwell however is a different story

25 if you want to drive the trails. There are some green trails that arent very long but are good get your feet wet. There are some blue trails that can get pretty gnarly but are for the most part real tame. Its a small park, if sticking to green and blue trails you can still expect to spend 2-4 hours there and have a good time. Bring an air compressor, I was there 2 weeks ago and their air compressors were put away.

Good to know about the air compressor. I'll grab it, some straps, chains, shovel, etc just in case. I've got two 16 yr old boys that I'm going to take with me. I think they'll enjoy it.

Well, I guess that will keep me from going tomorrow then. Guess I'll order the decal and go after it comes in.

You might call the park and ask in the receipt for the sticker will work until it comes in.

Is it business as usual out there yet? My Jeep has a OHV sticker, but the Tacoma doesn't yet.

I called 3 different places on Friday, but all 3 were out of the OHV stickers. I think I'll order one online and go in a few weeks.
