Thanks for all the info! I'm hoping the techs that did my frame swapped hooked me up by putting the steering rack nuts in from the bottom, but I have to check it out.

I'm fighting some steering wobble currently. I'm pretty sure the wheels and tires are balanced, but i'm going to get them rebalanced and an alignment after the hardware comes in for the intermediate shaft. Toyota parts online or whatever lied when they said it'd be here today because now it's arrive the 15th haha

True, but it's hard to beat these specs for the price:

    - Collapsed: 16.34"

    - Extended = 27.28"

    - Travel = 10.94"

Especially if I go with an OEM rack. Do you still have your old OEM rack around before you went to a Tundra rack? I wonder how much more a tundra rack and all the work would be lol

hmmm because they factor in shipping it is a little cheaper from there! Thanks!

A lot. There’s a guy on here that offers them that are $1000 or solo Motorsport for $1500. I didn’t feel like the cost or fab work was worth it for me. My tune may change if I break this oem rack too.

I do have my old rack, and a shop in CA who knows how to rebuild them. My experience leaves me unconvinced I can do it without leaks.

hmmm that might be a good option! especially if it's cheaper than a new OEM one

seems like at that price it’s just as cheap to go full hydro, or switch to a worm and sector steering box.

Basically yes, and hydro isn't that much more work than a tundra rack either. But it's not dot.

true, but we don’t get inspections here haha. They check the yellow dash light is clear and you move on, once every 2 years.

True, my objection is the lack of a mechanical steering linkage if you loose hydraulic power.

Yeah that top washer squeaks from being metal on metal. Learned that the hard way.

I’m thinking mine might be ok if I put the body lift on top of the washer. Not sure if it needs to be that high or not. I know my radiator bushing is currently toasted

I bought this 4 years ago, you can clearly see I’m on top of these types of things. it’s been so long I’ve gotta buy it again so I can look at the box for another half a decade. :rofl:D3EABF45-99A0-421F-897A-73536EFE4035.jpg
