2020 Tacoma installing Tekonsha brake controller

    Leveler in front lift in rear air bag bump stops
    Took my Tekonsha P3 out of my 2011 Tundra before sale. Bought a 2020 Tacoma and I cannot find the harness to connect it! Tundra cable would not work. Cant find on internet. Anyone solved this puzzle yet?? Pic of Tacoma plug attached

    If that's the plug inside of the Tacoma (I have yet to look for mine as I'm moving my P3 from my 2nd gen to my 3rd gen) you'll probably need a new harness cable. I haven't bought my new harness cable yet for 3rd gen, I accidentally bought one when I originally bought the P3 for my 2nd gen but returned it and got the correct cable.

    Sure, if you have enough in your cart to qualify for free shipping. I said if you have prime. It's $4 cheapest shipping to me from etrailer, so it would cost me $2.43 more to order from there. :rofl:

    I hit all of those links and it says “ does not fit 2020 Tacoma”

    Tekonsha doesn't even have it listed as 2020 compatible yet, I'd buy it from Amazon as it is ships and sold by amazon so easy return if it does not fit. I haven't repurchased the cable yet as I haven't taken the P3 out of my 2012 yet.

    The connector has not changed for the 2020..it's the same as 2016 through...

    My official 1st post: Had a brief email thing w/ E trailer on this subject last week. They don't list a plug and play option for the 2020 even though they have it for the 2019, so told me the 2016-2019 cable "wouldn't work" and wanted to sell me a universal cable (with some chopping and splicing required). When I inquired as to why the 2019 plug and play cable wouldn't work for a 2020 Tacoma they said: "Thank you for your email. We currently do not carry a plug-&-play option for your vehicle. Since your vehicle is so new, it is possible that we are simply waiting for the manufacturer(s) to give us the permissions to carry those products. If you are not interested in the option I previously suggested, that's okay! You are more than welcome to check back with us to see if we have the parts you are looking for." Not exactly helpful but they are pretty busy selling lots of other stuff for lots more money.

    They probably can't list it as compatible even if it works until the manufacturer says it will. By everyonr who has installed one in a 2020 its the same adapter harness. Once I figure out where I want to mount it I'll grab the cable.
