I wouldn't advertise that you can move things for people unless you are willing to take your fiberglass top on and off all the time.

Buy a fixer upper home, then you'll always use the truck lol

Or with a name like kushking420 you could prep it for Law enforcement use after the seizure and forfeiture.

l like to grab a coffee and drive to Home Dept. l then sit there drinking my coffe and watching people try to finagle items into their too small cars.

I remember a young couple coming out of the store with a new toilet. They spent the next 20 minutes trying to get it through the car door opening. They even took it out of the box. It was mesmerizing to watch.

The ironic thing is that 2 days later the wife and l were at the same Home Depot buying two new toilets. We were renovating out bathrooms. .l just dropped the tail gate and but both boxes in the bed and tied them down and closed the tailgate.. Took me a whole 2 minutes.

My wife was wondering why l was laughing afterwards.

l guess you could say that l use my truck as a sitting entertainment vehicle :D

    ^^^^ this

I just rehabbed a house. Two bath tubs, two toilets, 1300 sq ft of flooring, lumber, etc. I couldn’t live without a truck.

Fill it with cool expensive stuff and go fishing. Once you start using it for stuff you realize the truck you have it too small and then you'll be looking for a bigger truck to get more crap.

Oh c'mon kid, you are in college, and you are lucky enough to have a truck. Start assembling your basic camp kit - tent, pad, bag, stove, pans, and a box to store things.

I cant tell you how many friends I met, and the shenanigans we got up to, on college camp trips.

You can mount a 50 cal machine gun and get a summer job as a mercenary temp in one of the world's numerous trouble spots. The 6' bed holds more ammo cans than the 5', so you have that going for you. Which is something.

You're in Idaho with a College ID - GO SKIING!!! You can get super discounted passes and your college almost certainly has a ski club. Skis are 5 - 6 feet and truck beds are perfect for them.

You could drink beer, sleep, and live in the bed of your truck. What else is there to do in college?

Just do you and if something comes up that needs a pickup bed so be it, no need to go out of your way to justify owning a pickup.

I will say though, with that shell and 6 foot bed you're in a good spot to build a sleeping platform.

You’ve got a 6 foot box so Take up skiing. On the way to the mountain I always laugh at double cab short beds with ski racks on bed rails because their bed is too short for skis... but I’m also in the minority here that hates DCSBs

Throw a tarp in the back and fill it up and use it as a pool! Enjoy some tacos and beer in your own private pool haha.

My 4.0 DC 4x4 is new to me. I'm looking forward to hauling my MTB, dirtbikes, boat, dog, home depot goods, landscaping materials, skis, camping, teaching my son basic maintenance, trips to the dump, exploring Colorado... I'm pretty psyched to have a vehicle I can use without fear of every scratch and ding - it will not be a garage queen.

We definitely did this in college... fun but wasn’t much of a hit with the ladies

I think so. Usable bed is the whole point of a pickup truck! If I only cared about hauling people instead of stuff I’d take a 4Runner over a DCSB any day. (I’m sure I’ll get all the responses from people that say they need a short box to put their wet towels in the back)

I bought a ACLB after driving my old jobs DCSB and never being able to fit anything useful in the bed. I had a job where I regularly had to haul boxes of rock core only the core lengths inside the boxes were 5.0 feet and with the added plywood on the ends the boxes ended up being 5.1 feet - just barely too short to actually fit in the bed. It was embarrassing. Now with the jump seats and long bed I can both haul skis and other useful things AND have an excuse not to drive people places!
