Oh that was unfortunate man. Thought my issue was bad. Hope your issue got taken care of.

like I said, it was a last minute transportation job and I thought about that myself as it was being shipped to me but it coulda been worse.

    thanks

Hey I checked just to make sure that it wasn’t an army green wrap. Well turns out it is so I started peeling it and underneath the wrap was the exact same color!!! Now why would they do that?:taco:

From what I am reading here, I am not sure if what you bought was even a REAL TRD PRO or not! As someone else here mentioned, the OEM grills' letters do NOT come off individually at all. I have seen aftermarket grills that have stick on letters, and I am convinced that what you bought is NOT a real TRD PRO, but another model that someone swapped the grill out for an aftermarket TRD PRO grill, which is very common to do. If you just go to your local REAL toyota dealer, and just go to the parts department, and give them the VIN to your truck, they will tell you right away, WITHOUT YOU TELLING THEM, what the REAL model is for your truck. I am about 99% sure it is NOT a real from the factory TRD PRO.

Do you have the link for the truck from the dealers website? Even if it is taken down, you could be able to access it from server caches.

Sounds like they're hiding something and you got screwed. I'd be getting a lawyer involved and ask for a full refund.

you really aren’t convinced heh? Taco-obsessed posted this and I watched the vid last night that distinguishes the difference between oem and aftermarket grills. Kinda neat

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...o-grilles-and-garnishes.640357/#post-22114021

if you scroll back to one of the earlier pages (6-8 or so) you’ll see some folks post a pic of the back of their pro grill in which there are clips that holds the letters in place in addition to double sided tape. Mine looks the exact same way.

Curious, so me giving the vin # to one of my close acquaintances (who’s a salesman) and him shooting me back the full spec sheet that says 2020 TRD Pro on the very top wasnt enough for me to think that it’s a trd pro?
I also entered the vin on the Toyota website myself. It also says trd pro.

    Thanks

It’s because I didn’t nap. I always nap. Everyone knows the best part of napping is waking up during TW prime time.

Not sure if you saw on one of the earlier pages (6-8 or so) where folks posted pic of the back of their trd pro grills. Looks exactly like how mine is. Has small clips behind the letters held by double sided tape. Oem as well unless they were fooled themselves.

yes that link you posted is great to check vin therefore I used that quite a few times during my taco search and for sure it was used when I got the taco that I ended up with.

    Thanks

Backside of my 2020 Army Green TRD Pro grill - same letter "T" as is missing. Looks like they are held on with tapered plastic pins that are pushed through the holes.

Sounds like the “T” stands for Tip of the iceberg.

This is my point. What would worry me more than the missing letter (frankly $100 to $200 can remedy that problem) is what else I don't know about the truck.

OP, I could be wrong but I thought you said you bought this under Toyota CPO? If so, I would take it to a local dealer under that and see if they will do a full inspection on the truck just to be safe.

I've already posted that my letters are indeed individual and my VIN confirms that I do have a "real" Pro.

I'm more curious about this green wrap over a green truck. What's that about?
