1 inch block without taper

I recently purchased the Heavy Metal Suspensions 1 inch block. I was under the impression that it was supposed to come with a slight taper, when in reality it is 1 inch throughout.

I am a little apprehensive to installing it because I don't want to run into issues with driveline vibrations or having angles too out of spec.

Should I be this concerned or is 1 inch small enough where I should be okay?

 

You will be fine. Been on anon tapered block for almost two years. No issues with a small block

 

"Almost two years" isn't that long in the grand scheme of things. There's always a possibility it could cause some problems in the long run if you plan to keep the truck for a while. OP, if I were you I would want to get more input from other members before installing it. I don't have any experience with rear blocks so I won't say anything other than get more than one opinion before you make a decision.

 

A one inch block is fine. Been two years on this truck, however I have used a small one once block on Tacoma trucks over the years. It's perfectly fine, now anything larger than a two inch block I would not do.

 

I have 1 inch blocks no issues

 

1 inch or less doesn’t need to be tapered. You’ll be fine.

Pretty confident that I will be moving forward with the block, I can add shims later on if need be (Doubt it will be necessary)
