    LOL. Check out:
    Nikola Corp. (NKLA)

Its a truck company that's only a paper business plan and has a market cap of 23-24 billion.

Funny how a vaporware company can grab such a market cap so quickly based on what they "say" they're going to do.

Elon Musk says some off the wall stuff but actually ends up delivering on a lot of it.

This was SpaceX at the start.

Naw, I'm still betting on the Elio taking the world by storm.

Just you wait, it'll go into production next year (said in 2012, then in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and then again in 2019)

Now that the CEO Paul Elio has secured funding from a Nigerian prince, production will start any time now...

I'm all for Tesla (would definitely buy a Tesla if I could) but something fishy is going on with valuation when it's the most valuable car company in the world.

Somebody should just put one of those in place of the transfer case, one bolted up to a stubby rear drive shaft and a giant battery bank in the engine bay/transmission space/gas tank area left behind. 214 electric HP with almost instant 200 ft-lbs of torque would be sweet. Nobody redlines their trucks regularly to get to peak HP and torque from the stock motor anyway.

Toyota and Tesla are very different companies. I still think Ford Motor Corp, is more valuable than either Tesla or Toyota.

What company would you rather own?

Market cap is just share price x shares on market. For a hype machine company like Tesla that [redacted] investors can't get enough of, it's no wonder they're up there. Now if you look at average stock price, you'd see that Tesla is on a hype wave these days and that's why they're valuable again. Hell, based on today's trading, Toyota beats Tesla by $27 Billion.
