I tried a pre cooked artichoke to give it a bbq crunch to it but it was an epic fail. It dried it out like a jerky.
Have to give a bacon a try. We have open try style. Been afraid because of the mess to clean
We have one of those sizzlean screens for th cooktop and pan, no mess! cuze that grease can get every where.

Ditto. Back in 1989 the only cooking we could do was grilled ham and cheese sammies with our irons.

There was always one guy who'd forget the aluminum foil, then wonder later how he had burned cheese into his blues.

Bacon wrapped tater tots in the air fryer

    #becauseIcan

    IMG_20200616_163721.jpg

Cut strips of thick cut back into thirds lengthwise and wrap around a frozen tater tots and secure with a toothpick. Air fry for 12 minutes at 400F
No need to flip them if you stand them up like I did.

Nice we had air fryer chicken drumsticks with air fried green beans. The chicken was great! 10 min @ 400° flip repeat, for the chicken. The green beans needed a little more time but i like them crunchy. Sorry no pics..:anonymous:

Yes.. the bacon was CRISPY! So we're the tater tots! The nice thing about bacon and an air fryer is that you can cook it as long as you want.

Thighs are so good in the AF... Hell I've even added some BBQ sauce near the end...makes for good stuff when it's too cold to fire up the grill.
Also makes for easy cooking to vacuum seal for other meals down the road.

Olive oil, three kinds of smoked paprika, a little thyme and a little oregano and some salt. Like 5 minutes per side and tasty treat.

Came out pretty good. I had to watch how long I cooked it as some got a little overdone with a graze flare up from the original cook.

I did 400 for about 6 minutes a batch to heat them back up. Probably could have gone another 2-3 mins to crisp more.
