Great post. Is the controller typically 140 bucks on Amazon? Or should I wait. Theres only 1 option at that price currently

The Natika camera kit is back in stock. No need to buy them as separate units, but I’ll leave the links on the 1st post in case someone needs just the camera.

Update- after 9 months of use through all kinds of rains storms, this past weekend's rain finally resulted in moisture inside the lens. Maybe it's not that waterproof after all (or maybe I have a defective unit). I sent the seller a question via Amazon to determine if this is a warranty issue. If not, it would be cheap enough to buy a new camera.

Which camera do you have? Someone else has a camera that also turned foggy/blurry in the past few days.

I purchased a Natika camera from Amazon. I contacted them and they said to purchase another one from Amazon, install it, and once everything is working again, they will refund my money. We shall see.

Has anyone sorted out a way to record from these cameras? I don't want to junk up my windshield with a dash cam.

Got the replacement camera and installed it in just a few minutes. All is good again. I'll update this thread if I do not get the expected credit from Natika (the Amazon seller).

Update: I received the refund from Natika via PayPal about an hour after I confirmed that the new camera is functioning normally. Great CS!

Installed this system this evening. Thanks to the OP for putting this together. I’ll admit it took longer than a plug-and-play should have, in part because I spent way too much time trying to find the yellow plug for the rear camera (that didn’t exist) and even more time fishing wires through the firewall and behind the dash. The instructions that came with both the camera and the converter were light on directions, so the OP’s video helped make sense of everything. Couldn’t be happier with this set up.

I wouldn’t think it’s possible as power only goes to the camera when it’s displayed on the screen. Also, not a very good angle.

I love the way this works and am so glad I did it!
    Thanks

Also, I mounted my camera on the pro grill centered just above the TSS...no issues at all after several months use. @mds08

Rock solid, to the point I forget it’s not OEM. I had a moment early on where a loose wire led to the front camera being “blacked out”, but the installation instructions made it easy to go back in for the fix.

Funny thing, the front camera is a little better quality than the stock rear camera, which makes me consider upgrading the back-up. After installing the front one, I’d feel pretty confident that the back-up wouldn’t be half the challenge.

Thanks again for the clear and concise tutorial. This upgrade has become one of the most useful improvements to our Taco.
