So I drove by that 1st gen for sale in Liberty this morning. It's a V6 5spd TRD OR. The guy wants $8,750 and it has 213k on it. It's cleaner than my 2015 lol. No visible frame rust and possibly some sort of undercoating. There were some interesting frame welds. The ones that stuck out were the body mounts where they meet the frame, but I don't really have a point of reference for 1st gen frame welds. I took some quick pictures but had to get to work.

@GQ7227 don't let @CygnusX191 steal your truck from you. Ask for $10k:anonymous:

Console and mobile gamers don't need real internet. I hope you're not one of those "gamers" :poking:

Sounds awful. I imagine I'll be having a lot of free time for other stuff since I can't nerd out as much.

Only saving grace is that Chiefs games are NOT going to be shitty reception this year. We got satellite TV at least.

Also, possibility of wrench this weekend? Absolutely no pressure, my brothaman. I plan on doing the ATF and Engine Oil Saturday morning.

I have an expensive PC. I have a few games I could play offline, 1 to LAN with roommate. But honestly.. internet is king. I love multiplayer with my friends.

I haven't online gamed for a couple years. Got the RE3 remake a month ago, loaded it, and still haven't had time to even start it.

Yeah, there were some others that looked pretty questionable. Like some bubblegum fixit welds or just sketchy painted over corrosion. Still a super clean little truck.

Sunday is possible, saturday we are going to Kingsville to see @Mrs2Fang 's dad.
I'd probably see what @Slashaar is doing, another set of hands would be good.

i'm just enjoying being on the the other side of the internet coin for once lol i went from gig at college to shit for like 6 years.

Just use a LTE hot spot. you can usually get better throughput and latency through those than your wire

If we have game overlap, we should hook up and play some. I'm a pretty serious nerd about my hobbies. #pcmasterrace

I didn't even know they remade RE3. I played the FF7 remake and wasn't really impressed.

Resident Evil? My high school buddy is super into RE. I always thought about trying a newly released RE.

    Sounds good.

lol, glad you're on the right side of things.

LTE hotspot has been suggested, maybe I try if super desperate one day.

    Researchmonkee is my Steam.

Currently was playing No Man's sky. Will likely be playing Diablo 2 offline more now. I have Single Player Plugy mod which is amazing. Doesn't change game other than adding infinite stash which is shared through all single player characters, and ladder runewords and such.

i don't have a clue, not sure Cygnus from St Louis does either but idk
what i have is different than this one you found, and i am not sure what Cygus is looking for exactly

but that is probably the 1st 1st gen on TW or any locally I have seen that also has sprayed underneath the cab floor pan lol

what welds are in question? those cab mount ones seem to be similar on mine

The welds where the front body mount attaches to the frame looked either poorly re-welded or were corroded and sprayed with that rust inhibiting spray that you can see everywhere else. There were similar welds along the crossmember but they looked more normal. I didn't have much time to look and I've never spent time under a 1st gen, so I don't know if the condition of those welds are normal or not.

I've basically been a hermit in life and gaming lately. It's been a while since I've really been hooked on a good multiplayer game.
