Cool. I think the one I saw in the Tough Dog video last night had left hand drive. i be like.. How did that left hand drive happen down under? That would have some potential here in the U.S. after it reaches the right age.

 

My good room mate has inspired to me to tune up my bike so I've adjusted the derailleurs and need to throw a new chain on it. Thinking about throwing a new crank set on it because my chain rings are visibly bent

I've been to that Blockbuster last year, it's the only one left in the world up in Bend, OR. I guess it's privately/independently owned even after the franchise went under years ago

 

that would defeat the purpose of me trying to be healthy

 

kids these days will never know the pain of having to wait all week to get to go to Blockbuster, only to find the movie/game you wanted is all rented up and no idea when it will be back

 

or spending what seems like eternity walking up and down the aisles to find a consolation prize

hahha, yeah they'll also never understand the great lessons in life discipline from getting dinged with fines for not rewinding your returned videos

 

I remember my dad having to rent the VCR and the videos tapes to watch movies. I also used to rent an NES and a game at the same time. My older brother took his when he moved out.

Have a ton of old family VHS tapes I need to help my mom convert over to digital files sometime soon. Tried watching a couple of them at her house last time I was there (she still has one of those TVs with a built in VCR lol) and you can tell some of the tapes are on their way out

all that money on lights and none on preventative maintenance

 

oh man I was afraid someone would bring that up haha. I haven't asked him lately and I feel bad about it. It happened right before the pandemic started (literally the day before lockdown), and I told him I'd help him fix it up (if it were fixable) but then lockdown happened and all that shit and I totally forgot about it. Last I heard a few days after it happened he just told me he was fucked lol.

IMO though that thing was done for. Not beyond fixing but it would take a lot of $$$ to get it in good shape again, and he was already in a tough spot as it is. And I highly doubt his insurance is going to help given that he was trespassing and the city had to pull him out.

 

After the city pulled him out, it was running but very roughly and the dash lights were all flickering (electrical got soaked). It ended up stalling a bunch on the way to the main road and he had to call a tow truck

Way too much water damage from being submerged overnight. And that water was nasty, was the basin of a huge wash where all the runoff turns into a giant nasty lake and then drains out.
