I know its pretty common for people to replace the Head Units of their 3rd Gens but the 2020 Harness for the radio and plugs are different. I dont mind the current Head Unit but it lags and sort of sucks. I've seen some nice ones that are upgraded in the Pre-2020 3rd Gens.

Metra, PAC, and Maestro all make modules for it. I think adding CarPlay helped people keep the factory radio a little longer.
Heck, even in my 2017 i kept the factory radio for 2 years. Just hurts to rip stuff out of a brand new truck lol

My factory head unit now sits in the box that my Pioneer head unit came in.

If anyone wants to get rid of their stock 2020 radio, I will happily take it off your hands.

Would like to update everyone, especially @destin_meeks just to say I successfully swapped out my 2017 stock headunit with a 2020 stock headunit. Took a much longer time for the harnesses to come in than I expected, but I did it. IMG_0758.jpg

I love it! With enough adapters, anything is possible! Glad to know the databus talks to each other

Email the guys at autoharnesshouse.com and explain the situation and they will hook you up with an adapter from the 2016-2019 plugins to the 2020 radio. Don't expect it soon, it took about 5 weeks for them to make it and ship it to me. Then, go to this link to buy the correct USB harness to access CarPlay https://www.ebay.com/itm/Toyota-Entune-3-0-usb-cable/224160918569

I just did the same replaced the stock head unit with one from a 2020 (i think). It is a 86140-04230. The thing is it doesn't show the available sources as well as the current song being played on the multi information display in the cluster. Since it doesn't show I'm not able to change the audio source from there.
Also there is some data not shown in the ECO screen and INFO, and it shows the MPG units instead Km/L.

Does this works fine for you? What model is the head unit you installed?
