2020 TRD Off RD Grille to TRD Pro Grille swap w/ front camera

I tried ordering from Sparks a few weeks back and they stopped the order. They requested a VIN from a TRD Pro since Toyota won't release the part unless it is for a Pro. I eventually found a different dealership that worked with me and I supplied them with a VIN from a used TRD Pro I found on a different dealership website.

It seems like they have sold out or have caught on and no longer sell it online. The swap is very easy and can be done in less than an hour; I used a Dremel to cut the bracket and then sanded it down to fit snug within the camera compartment. No issues with the TSS garnish I ordered through Amazon - driven in rain, night, and normal day conditions. The camera alignment is a little off with the new camera angle, but it is barely noticeable.

Any update on whether you will share/sell the CAD file here or maybe sell the printed part? I will pay you for the CAD file and won't share it with anyone...
I need to modify the CAD file anyway for my @DBCustomzFab Grille install. That grille does not support the 2020 OEM camera. The best place to relocate the camera on the DBCustomz grille is right above the TOYOTA script, just like the Pro grilles on this thread.

I have a 3D printed bracket to hold the camera for the Pro Grille. I have one installed and the fit up is perfect. I designed it for my brothers Tacoma. He suggested I look come here to see if others are interested in it. Are their many forum members interested in such an Item?

I certainly am. But I would want to pay for the STL/CAD file because my case is slightly different, in that I need to modify the design so as to fit a @DBCustomzFab grille, not a Pro grille.

This thread has at least 4-5 forum members interested if I counted right?

This would save me a metric shit ton of time for not having to design my own from scratch.
Also Danny at DBCustomz might be interested in this final result as well, so as to support more of the 2020 models for his grilles. Let me know your price! Or be a good steward and post it up somewhere for free? I'd still pay you if you wanted to go that route to pay it forward.

Okay that is great news that their is interest. I'm going to do a little research on cheapest shipping methods from Canada to USA to make sure its a reasonable price point with shipping included. Ill start a new thread and notify all interested members when I have a ll my duck in a now (shipping, Photos, Warranty).

I would just need to collaborate with you over the phone about a few dimensions off the grill. I see where you are talking about mounting it and honestly I could have a Prototype ready for you in a day or two. I would of course do any needed revisions and then perhaps you could set me up with others forum members requiring the bracket. all I would ask is that you pay the shipping of the parts. How does that sound to you?

I know it's my brother so my opinion may be biased but I think the bracket he made is legit!

 

Making progress. I just need to sort out some proper packaging and I will be in contact with everyone. Thank you for your patients. I hope to have the part ready to ship by the weekend. Once I know what my cost is for packaging I'll be able to provide a price.

I'm trying to CAD the part that might snap into the DBCustomz grille hole... Merging this piece plus the part of your piece that holds the camera, would be the design goal.
