    Yes. Satisfies CA law to avoid being an assault weapon.

    From a practical standpoint it’s essentially like hitting mag release button twice. Very fast, no complications.

    Functionally it allows the rear takedown pin which is replaced with a milled pin and detent, to let the upper and lower separate around 1/8 inch before the mag release button can work as you’d normally expect it to in free states.

    This setup allows for normal use of pistol grips, vertical grips, flash hiders (all of which CA classifies as assault weapon features), and still allows you to clear double feeds and other failures which other Maglock systems don’t offer.

    An annoyance to stay legal, for sure, but it’s fantastically fast and well designed.

    Yeah not bad. I'll probably spend more than that on my cuts lol. But I'll be making a stand with the swinging targets like in my range picture. The other design will be a knock down rack.
