I had some more time the same day so I went a grabbed a few cans of plastic-dip and painted away. I touched up the fender flares I bring them back to life - they had been sitting in the sun for I don't know how long - probably 15 years haha

Next mod was something just for cosmetics. I've always liked raptor lights in the grille so I went on superbrightled.com and found some that I could make work. It was a pretty simple mod, all it took was splicing into the corner lights + and - wires and connecting the raptor LED lights.

After adding the 100 HP from the raptors lights, I decided it was finally time to de-chrome, almost completely. Bye bye chrome bumpers and grille! (I don't have a picture of the rear.)

Up next on the list was to level out the front. I've had a spacer leveling kit before on an 03 Taco I had and wasn't too much of a fan. So I began my search for something a little better. That's when I came across Bilstein. I liked this option because I could level for now, and then lift whenever the wallet was ready for it. So I went ahead and ordered the 5100's and had them installed. (I promise I started doing everything on my own after that install.)

Next on the list was to protect this thing from rust, since I currently live in ND. A little rustoleum undercoating and that mod was done.

I hated not being able to listen to my own music, so out with the old and in with the new.

My dad went out a bought a 2019 TRD OR with a few upgrades and for the small amount the shipping was, I had some new wheels!

I had been familiar with @Box Rocket build for quite a while and he's inspired a lot on this truck! Which is the main reason I went with the trail gear front tube bumper. My favorite was the (3) 7" HID's he threw up front. The little sag in the front I fixed after about 2 months cause it really started to bother me haha.

In the bed of the truck I had a plastic liner and I wasn't feeling it much. I ripped it out and bought some rustoleum truck bed coating and went to work. in the end, I regretted doing this mod just because it doesn't stick to the surface too well and was pretty messy to apply.

Next I had to choose between a bed rack or a topper shell. I was super interested in a shell, but for the price, it almost wasn't worth it for me. I had looked around for bed racks for a good two months and saw that they're pretty basic, easy to build, but expensive to purchase from a company. So why not build one? So my search began for a bed rack build. I realized @Box Rocket had made one and I really liked the design! so the building process began.

After that I needed to add some storage space. Something I could take with me everywhere and easily remove whenever I need to. Thats when I found @overlandunderbudget on IG. His build became a HUGE inspiration for mine. Although not the sleekest, his roof rack was exactly what I needed. Yakima Q towers with 117 Q-Clips. Up top is a Pelican V770 case and my traction boards.

Then I was able to score this RTT from Tepui for a damn good price! (brand new too)

Now, I needed a new rear bumper. Something strong enough to support a spare tire, water and gas. Low on cash, why not build one? Good thing I have a buddy with a shop! Again, rear bumper inspired by @Box Rocket !

Once the rear bumper was done, I decided to add some better lights to my truck. I added some 7" HID lights to the front of my bumper (as seen on @Box Rocket) and also made my own retrofit headlights.

Up next is the tire carrier. Once again, didn't want to spend the money, so I made one! Ordered the hinge from a company called EMS Off-road and I am super happy with it!

Finally decided to add a lift kit. Went with Toytec coils on my Bilstein 5100's and a rear AAL. Super stoked we could save me cash and do it in the front yard. (Also, snapped my lights and had to rebuild the mount lol)

New lift calls for new tires. 285/75/16 BFG KM3's. I love these tires! no rubbing at all, perfect fit!

And lastly, I did a backseat delete which made it more comfy for my dog, and gave me some better choices of storing whatever I need to store.
