What are you looking for because I have a 450C that I'm probably going to have to sell. I think 35's are a bit too much for it so I'll probably be looking at a pair of 485C gen 2 compressors.

When I get it Im definitely going to post in here to let you all know. A few things that are already bad, but I accepted, is that I am going to have to change the fitting where it attaches to the valve, because its screw on (lame as fuck), it gets super hot from what I read ( cant really do anything but have it in a hard case) and then the pressure valve cannot be read while it is on ( i have that cool third gen tire pressure reading screen) . But Im ok with that because when I am done wheeling I normally hit a gas station for fuel, and ill just get it perfect when im there. Oh, its also 20lbs lol.

But there are people that are commenting on Amazon that have used it for 37s

That is ridiculously beefy lol that sounds a lot like my old viair 88p. Screw it on, turn it on, and hangout near the compressor. Turn it off to check and back on to keep going. And the thing got so damn hot I had to carry it by the hose lol it was a kick ass compressor though and worth the quirks.

I think one of the reasons my hurricane air comp died was because it got so hot when I was done using it, id always throw it in the bed to cool off until I got to the gas station. Id be lying if I said I never head it bouncing around my bed as I went around corners. There is one guy that had the smittybuilt mounted in his tacomas engine bay lol

Yep, that's where I'm at except I use the dashboard to determine when each tire is full. Personally I like the screw on fitting so I dont have to hold it the whole time. But it does get hot as fuck, have to let it cool down before putting it back in the case or I'm worried it will melt the hose and wires! For the price point it's at, it does the job. If I ever get bigger tires I'll need to upgrade.

I find that all them little air compressors have a hot head while in use. The little hunk a crap I have has a little air pressure gauge on it as well at the outlet side of the hose. I've gotten used to it's reading while airing up, To be damn close to where I want the pressure to be in the tires. I still fill to that pre-selected point now, then recheck with an actual air gauge. Some times I have to drop a few lbs.

Have thought about changing to a different model but it works for what it is.

I've moderated a few forums and these guys make me cringe. I can't count how many times I'll see a post and do a double take when I see the moderator flag. Be an adult for crying out loud!

So the question is do I buy the super convenient all-in-handset 15w model or the more powerful 40w model...

I had that internal debate too. Figured if I was the only one with the most powerful one then it was kinda pointless. Plus no weather on the 40 watt for some reason. I think the few of us that bought them went the 15 watt route.

I heard that this one is very good. And only $50 more than the 15w on Amazon. And it can do ham and gmrs.
    https://www.amazon.com/BTECH-Mobile...ld=1&keywords=50w+gmrs&qid=1592534824&sr=8-11

Apparently Im a glutton for adding a bunch of comms to my truck and running out of room. Ill get ham eventually and cross that bridge when it comes

I think I just like the design... it was super convenient for CB because my Uniden had the exact same design. I'm thinking the ~4dB gain (on UHF no less) when this will only be for trail comms isn't worth finding a mounting point in view when I can just stuff the 15w just about anywhere.
