You can't tell much of a difference from the pics but it's definitely different from here.

This is dark walnut with canyon black sprayed over it. (After I had pulled the tape; was pissed so I just started spraying w/o re-taping.)

I'm going camping with some friends tomorrow. In the past I just borrowed a hand held radio from friends for truck to truck communications. I bought this radio off a member. But still havent got an antenna. Does anyone know if this would work for truck to truck in close proximity without an antenna?

As long as you have a hand on the radio as you touch dicks, then yes.

In all honesty, you will need an antenna.

The good news is that you can find a dual-band, magnetic mount antenna at a local cb/ham shop or with luck a truck stop.

The bad news is that the radio is BaoFeng. After it's done recording your every move and sending it to China, it will catch on fire.

In the last four years I've only camped once and it was for a work training (bat acoustics software thing). But I've been building my truck for the long term of regularly camping with the family. Excited that is finally beginning.

Also be nice to camp this weekend without my kids :anonymous:
