2006 Tacoma making a rattling sound

    Just got an alignment and changed the diff fluid. Picked it up from the shop and noticed a rattle. Loose heat shield or exhaust?

    take a look at the dust shields on your front brakes. Might need to bend them back away from the wheel a little bit.

    edit:
    You most likely will need to remove the two front tires to bend it back.

    Check the skid plate.
    It needs to be removed to drain the front diff.

    Step 1 for me would be smacking the bottom of the skid plat and listening for sounds.

    I'd say skid plate or dust shield. When I get oil changes sometimes they forget to tighten a bolt and it sounds similar to that. But yeah smacking the skid would tell you if its that
