    Ladies and Gentlemen Hello,

I have a 2011 TRd 4dlb that has 130k miles on it and I do not use it hard and have had since new. I have changed the oil every 5k and gear oil myself at 100k miles. I do all the maintenance an like i said i do not use it hard. The most i use it is when i make a 800 mile trip to an from the mountains usually once a year. But now its twice this year. I am usually loaded with every seat filled with a grown man and there gear in the back with a camper shell. LOADED.

My question for ya'll is dealing with the Transmission. I have never, yep never changed the transmission fluid. I figured it was sealed so it should be good. I do not tow anything worth talking about I was thinking of holding off to 150k but i only drive the truck 5-7k a year so it would be a couple more years before i got there.

What yall think. I run 3 inch OME lift with 285 70 17 and i have a 400lb bumper on the front.

Just hit 100,000 on my 2011 and it had a trans flush at just under 40,000. It's starting to shudder so I was going to flush it soon as well as perform the 100000 mile maintenance due. Oil changes every 5000 Miles since new and everything else up to date to this point. Truck has towed a boat it's whole life but nothing huge.

    I too have a 2011 with 130k miles.

I changed the trans fluid at 90k. I’ll change it again at 150k.

    I do diffs every 30k.

Did belt, brake fluid, power steering fluid, and coolant at 100k.

I occasionally tow, and do some light off-road in the summer and winter.

I would change your trans fluid now at 100k (Toyota’s recommended interval). As vehicles get older I tend to change things like trans fluid a little more often so I drop the interval to 60k for subsequent changes (Toyota’s hard use interval).

Don’t do a flush unless you drop the pan and clean the magnets and filter.

Our resident Transmission Guru @gearcruncher has an excellent post with about all you need to know on the Trans. Your question can be answered in post #3. If you read the whole thing, you can probably make the best decision based on your needs.
