Stitching came undone from the oem knob a while ago. Having https://www.gillinautointeriors.com/ do some work on another car's seat, so I figured it's a good opportunity to have them replace the material on the knob and boot. Went w/ black leather and some blue stitching to match the exterior of the truck. Subtle enough to meet my needs.

So anyway...since I had the center console removed and I was bored, had some extra jute insulation laying around, I thought hey...why not keep those cupholders cool?! lol
    So I did this....

Then I decided to finally make the commitment and buy the remaining material to finish sound deadening the interior. Damplifier Pro deadening mats and Luxury Liner Pro MLV mats. All I have left is the floor. (Doors, back wall and roof are already done). So now I'll work on removing the rest of the interior so I have something to do when the stuff arrives later this week.

    Boredom is a mother-effer.

Looks great! Let us know how that jute cup holder deal works. I've been thinking of boxing mine out underneath with wax paper coated cardboard, then using Great Stuff spray foam to stop them from getting so hot. When my wife and I went on a (very long) roadtrip in 2018, I found that extended periods of driving make those cup holders TOASTY warm. I've been meaning to do something about it, but wanted to wait until I decided whether or not to put a short throw shifter in or just fix my wobbly mess and leave it alone...

Thanks. I'll keep ya posted. I've definitely had drinks get warm. It's weird though b/c it was never consistent. Some times they'd get warm and other times they're totally fine. Either way, I think it should help. Especially once I lay down the other stuff on the trans tunnel.

Knew this would happen. Need more material to finish the job :annoyed:

Driver side is completely finished, from the firewall back to the rear seat and up the side of the trans tunnel. Some pics from along the way. Hope this makes a noticeable difference.

Everything fit together perfectly. This was my biggest fear. The damplifier and the MLV mat was about 1/2" of total material under the carpet. Making sure it fit back together without noticing anything was done below it was important to me. No complaints here!

Even made a little piece for inside the center console ......
