Hello folks. I have a question that might be remedial level but I've been at this all day and bad ideas are starting to seem good. I may have agreed to buy the toddler a puppy...

I'm trying to install a Greenlane Stump low profile style bumper with a Comeup Seal gen2 9.5rs winch. Thankfully the control box is easy to relocate. Unfortunately it just doesn't fit anywhere handy. So I'm left making something to custom place the box. It seems like having the port for the controller located in one of the bumper easy access holes would be ideal for ease of use. Will this be a water/weather issue or a bad idea for any other reason?

Assuming I can make it fit and secure it, does something like this work?IMG_20200606_190719.jpg IMG_20200606_190626.jpg

EDIT: Just going with the more traditional higher mount behind the grille. The low spot just was going to be too much of a pita to secure.

Any more I just suggest to put them in the cab and be done.

Out of the weather and easy to access.

Here I have had a few controls killed by the liquid brine nothing like really needing the winch and it does not work.

Did you recently order from Greenlane? I ordered back in May and I haven't heard anything about my order. I also can't get a hold of anyone at Greenlane.

I paid the first week of May and it showed up about 10 days ago. I think it was right at one month turnaround. I had solid email communication during the process. I asked questions to ensure the winch was compatible. I think I reached out 3 times and never had more than 24 hours of lag on a response. I just used the 'contact us' form/email.

I dig this front bumper. Any more pics to share? Maybe some close ups.. Any nasty looking gaps? What part of the bumper needs to be cut?
