SOLD -- Nitrocharger suspension. Shocks, coilovers, shims, springs, bushings, etc.

This setup is supposed to give 1.5-2" on stockweight truck. Mine was getting much heavier and I upgraded to the OME BP-51 suspension as my needs grew. I'd estimate I have 30,000 miles on this stuff, but only about 10,000 of that was with a real heavy load in a expedition rig kind of thing, previous to that it was a daily driver. I'd prefer to sell it all together to a local buyer. Will consider shipping, but the rear springs are gonna be a pain.

    Let's see where this goes.

I'd like to get $500 for the lift kit, with the optional items extra depending on what you want. Or I might throw it all in for a full price offer. I think of it broken down like this: $100 per front shock, $50 per rear shock, $100 per rear spring

    Lift Kit Items
    • OME 90000 Nitrocharger Sport front shocks.
    • OME 885 springs, installed.
    • Trim packer installed on drivers side
    • 1/4" poly top plate spacers
    • OME 60091 rear shocks, complete with stem bushings, etc.
    • OME Dakar spring pack CS047R (should give 2.5" or so on stock weight vehicle and substantially increase the payload) Has OEM rubber bushing in front eyelet of springs. Rear Eyelet is the OME spec poly bushing. You are allowed to add to or take out certain springs in this leaf pack to change the lift/payload/ride comfort if you choose.
    Optional Items
    • OEM rear shackles, with bolts top and bottom. minor surface rust only.
    • OME D29XL extra leaf for cs047r. Ordered two, got one, and everyone pointed fingers and I never reconciled it. So now I have one extra spring. Will include it with the leaf pack purchase, or buy it standalone for $10
    • Brand new poly bushing kit, Either to put poly in the front of the spring, or put poly up in the shackle. Either one, same bushing kit from Wheelers.
    • OME Ubolts, standard OEM orientation (square Ubolts, threads facing down)
    • Axle U-bolt plates. The part the Ubolts tighten against. I did a u-bolt flip.

These are neither referred to as the medium or heavy. That is a term associated with the newer leaf sets from OME. the new ones have part numbers like EL095R. These are the previous generation, the original dakars, part number CS047R. The spring rate on them is very similar to the Medium new springs, but some say they are a bit in between the medium and heavy offerings of today.

If you want to make these springs stiffer, you can add the D29XL leafs to the pack. I have one.. unfortunately not a pair though. You can also make them softer by taking out the main overload leaf. These are all common / known mods to the dakars, there are threads discussing it.

    Thanks.

Bump. Someone has got to want a good quality lift kit without the super heavy duty springs that give 3" of lift. This was a really good suspension kit for me. Only upgraded to get much heavier duty components that were more adjustable for my non-daily driven extra heavy expedition camping rig...

That's a great deal and I'm sure you will be able to find someone local to buy it. Did you post on Craigslist? When I sold my OME885/5100 kit it was gone within two hours of posting on Craigslist. GLWS.

not on Craigslist yet. Wanted to let some folks on TW get a crack at it first. I could also post over on expedition portal, haven't done that yet either.

What do you think shipping to 47665 would be? Also, how much lift on the 885's? I have a regular cab with no big bumper or anything.

The lift on a regular cab is more than others...there are a lot of OME threads on the forum that you could research. But my truck is DCLB, and VERY heavily loaded. when I took them off I would say I was getting something like 1" or 1.5" over stock. But you have to remember, that is over stock, not whatever your truck is now. And, these springs have already settled, unlike new.

Just a wild guess, these would probably lift a lightweight regular cab with no extra front weight by 2-2.5". but just a guess. Rear springs are rated somewhere around 2.5", not sure how that changes with the different cab layouts. For sure the rear springs would give you quite a bit, and increase the load carrying ability dramatically. The leaf pack though does allow for you to add and remove leaves, to change the ride and lift characteristics. If it is too stiff, you can remove the 2nd or 3rd leaf, and the overload leaf to soften them up. For reference, I hauled an old VW on a trailer to CA, with a fully loaded truck, and family with these springs. I am sure they are not going to give the lift they did when new, since they are used though.

for shipping, will need a full address to be able to quote. and I'm not even remotely sure how to quote leaf spring shipping... they are heavy enough that my shipping scales don't go that high, and not sure how to ship something without a box. Maybe I can just tape a label to them? I dunno...

What kind of lift are you looking for? mild, or more? I would think that these, used without the top plate spacer, would probably lift the front 1.5", and the rear pack, if modified, somewhere in the 2" depending on the weight you normally carry.

Or you could install the spacer, and the truck could be lighter than I imagine, and the lift could come out at something like 2.5" in the front, and 3" + in the back with an unmodified pack.

There is just too many variables.

Ok, I was curious on the 885, but I know the leaves will give close to 3" on my regular cab as I had them on my previous regular cab. I'll PM you my address, and we can go from there.

Sold. I still have the OME D29XL single spring. If you are interested and want to order the other single spring, let me know and you can have it for the cost of shipping.
