    Yet another wtf thread.

I have a light bar and wire harness I got used. Harness looks a lot like the HF I have seen online.

From the harness toward the switch I have 3 wires, black, white, blue.

Black is attached to relay pin #86 and is grounded to the battery negative.
White is attached to relay pin #30 and is constant hot from battery positive.
Blue is attached to relay pin #85 and activates the relay with ground and given + 12vdc

the lightbar comes on when white and blue wire are connected.

ETS: I have tried using the white +12vdc as well as tail light tap, no difference between them.

I would like to run it through a mictuning switch, but none of the posts or videos I have seen worked.
Below is what I have, connect the lines for me please.

Is using the tail light circuit to activate the relay an option?
That way you don’t need 2 different wires, one for each Hi/Lo beam?

sorry, the toggle switch, etc dont exist. that's what i get for using a picture off the internet. picture is corrected now.

I have tried using the white wire +12vdc constant, and tapped into the tail light. no difference with lights on and key on. I can get the switch to illuminate, but nothing else.
Also, cannot find any two conductors in the switch that close a circuit when the switch is pressed. maybe my switch is bad??

If you are saying there is no continuity between any legs of the switch, in any position, then the switch is no good.

What type of switch is it, a picture might help.

Check down for the item description, there is a "Wiring Connector" Tab.

Basically, White goes to Green, Blue goes to Red 1

Red 2 if for the switch illumination, along with the black (illumincation ground). You could connect the black wire to black, and join both reds together with the blue, this way the LED on the switch should come on when the circuit is switched on.

The other option for the LED on the switch is to find a wire inside the cab providing a +12 volts when your vehicles lights are on.
